GDC’s Holiday Celebration at Detroit Zoo

The ASSP’s GREATER DETROIT CHAPTER presents the annual end-of-year holiday celebration: Join us at the Detroit Zoo for a magical night of safety! Participants can expect a unique presentation by the Detroit Zoo’s own Safety Specialist (CEUs will be awarded); access to the Wild Lights; a pasta dinner buffet; and UNLIMITED hot chocolate with a take-home souvenir cup! Don’t miss this chance to network with fellow safety professionals and enjoy a night at the Detroit Zoo. The cost for all of the above is only $20 per person. Each member is allowed 1 guest.

PRESENTATION TOPIC: Health and Safety at the Detroit Zoo

It’s not just about following MIOSHA regulations: it’s ensuring guests, employees and volunteers are all safe! The presentation will review all the different requirements that help keep all those involved safe. Featuring the Envenomation Drill that was created for AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums).

CEUs will be awarded.
