This training session provides safety professionals and supervisors with the knowledge and skills to recognize and respond to signs of substance use and impairment in the workplace. The presentation begins with an overview of Drug-Free Workplace Policies and the six main types of drug and alcohol testing. The session outlines supervisory responsibilities, highlighting common do’s and don’ts, and offers guidance on recognizing crisis situations and signs of impairment. A structured 10-step approach to conducting reasonable suspicion conversations will be demonstrated, along with strategies to avoid enabling behaviors and other common supervisory pitfalls.
